How to arrive
To Barcelona
Barcelona is well connected internationally by air, train, and road.
By plane
Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) is the main international airport and is located about 15 km from the city center. It offers direct connections to most major European cities and several intercontinental destinations.
From the airport, you can reach the city center by:
- Aerobús (fast and direct to Plaça Catalunya). The ticket costs 7,45 €.
- Metro (L9 Sud), connecting to other metro lines. The ticket costs 5,90 €.
- Train (R2 Nord) from Terminal 2. The ticket costs 2,90 €.
- Taxi, which takes approximately 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. It usually costs around 30-40€.
By train
Barcelona is connected to the European high-speed rail network. Long-distance and high-speed trains (AVE) arrive at Barcelona Sants Station, the city’s main railway hub.
By car
Barcelona is accessible via several major highways. Please note that traffic can be dense, and parking in the city center is limited.

By public transport
ETSEIB is easily accessible by public transportation:

Barcelona operates an integrated public transport system. You can purchase a 10-journey ticket, which can be used on all public transport services (metro, tram, bus, and commuter trains) throughout the city. Please note that travel to and from the airport by metro requires a special ticket. The 10-journey ticket is called T-casual and costs €13.
By taxi
Taxis are widely available throughout the city and can drop you directly at the main entrance of the campus.
